Join us in celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week here at Open Door, by spreading the word about our upcoming move to our new building Joy!

Joy will create a space where mental health, culture, and social action intersect in a way that has never been done before. The new building will house all of Open Door's programmes, other third sector organisations and hopefully some NHS colleagues, which to our knowledge is the first time that a third sector organisation has collaborated in this way with a local statutory health service.

The space at Joy will also give Open Door new ways to engage with local arts, culture and music scenes; cultivating a non-clinical environment that destigmatises how mental health support is traditionally experienced, and breaking down barriers to access.

The theme for MHAW 2026 is ‘Action’, so we have put together some small but impactful actions you can take to support Open Door’s life changing mental health programmes.
